High Fiber Food
Fiber delays your stomach's effort to
get at the sugar, carbs and starches in carbohydrates i.e. high fiber
food has the effect of slowing the speed with which your stomach digests
what you've eaten. The dietary fiber in vegetables like broccoli is cellulose,
which is in essence wood. The nutrients are bound up in dietary fiber
so, the stomach has to work harder to get at the nutrition.
The faster the sugar and carbs
you eat are processed and absorbed into your bloodstream, the fatter you
get. Anything that speeds up the process of digestion is bad for
