Phase 1 SouthBeach Dinner Recipe

 

Grilled Rump Steak Recipe
(Serves 4)

SouthBeach Recipe Food Ingredients:

1 rump steak
100ml tomato juice
50ml Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt

 

SouthBeach Recipe Cooking Method:

Place the steak in a 32X22cm glass baking dish.  Combine the tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, onion, lemon juice, garlic, pepper and salt and pour over the steak.  Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, turning once.

Place the steak on the grill tray and brush with marinade.  Grill 7cm from heat for 5 minutes.  Turn, brush with marinade and grill for 3 minutes or until a thermometer inserted in the centre registers 63 deg C for medium-rare.

To serve, cut diagonally across grain into thin slices.
