Phase One SOUTH BEACH DIET PLAN

Phase 1 South Beach Meal Plan

 

South Beach Diet Phase One is the strictest phase of the South Beach Diet Plan.

South Beach Diet Phase One plan last for two weeks only.

On South Beach Diet Phase One - the rapid weight loss phase of the South Beach Diet Plan, you could lose weight of between 8 lbs to 13 lbs in 14 days depending on your initial weight.

South Beach Phase 1 meal plan does not have to be low carb, if you eat the right carbs - the good carbs and avoid the bad carbs.

Phase 1 South Beach meal plan is designed to allow ample portions of protein, good fats and the lowest glycemic index carbs needed for satisfaction and blood sugar control. 

During Phase 1 of south beach meal plan, you will enjoy normal meals of chicken, beef, turkey, fish and shellfish, lots of vegetables, eggs, cheese, nuts and salads using 100% olive oil for your salad dressing. You can also drink all the coffee and tea you want and be sure to drink lots of water.

On South Beach Diet Phase 1 meal plan you'll have three balanced meals a day, and it will be your job to eat so that your hunger is satisfied.  You'll be urged to have snacks in the midmorning and mid-afternoon, whether you want to or not.  You'll have dessert after dinner.

The change you will make during Phase 1 of south beach diet meal plan is that you will cut out and avoid all bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, baked goods, fruit, candy, cakes, cookies, ice cream or sugar.  Keep in mind that these eliminated foods will be added back into your diet in Phase 2 of the south beach diet plan. You will also have to avoid beer, or any kind of alcohol.

By the time South Beach Diet Phase 1 meal plan ends, your cravings, especially for sweets, baked goods and starches will also have vanished.

Phase One South Beach Diet meal plan does not require you to measure what you eat but the meals should be of normal size, enough to satisfy your hunger but no more than that.

Sample Meal for South Beach Diet Plan Phase 1

South Beach Phase 1 - Breakfast Menu

Tomato juice, 150 ml
Scrambled eggs with fresh herbs and mushrooms
Lean bacon, 2 slices
Decaffeinated coffee or decaffeinated tea with fat-free milk and sugar substitute                                       

South Beach Phase One Menu - Snack for Midmorning

1 chunk low-fat cheese

South Beach Phase 1 - Lunch Menu

Chicken Caesar salad (no croutons)
Prepared Caesar dressing, 2 tbsp.

South Beach Phase One Menu - Snack for Midafternoon

Low-fat cottage cheese (100g) with 50g chopped tomatoes and cucumbers

South Beach Phase 1 - Dinner Menu

Mahi-mahi or swordfish
Oven-roasted vegetables
Rocket salad
Low-sugar prepared dressing
